1. Coating Process

Standard Configuration: PE coating; offers a wide range of colors and meets general weather resistance requirements.

High Weather-Resistance Configuration: HDP or PVDF coating; offers superior UV and chalking resistance, maintaining color stability for 20–30 years.

2. Steel Sheet Thickness

The Color Steel Relief Board is available in 0.35mm, 0.4mm, and 0.5mm; a minimum thickness of 0.3mm is recommended to prevent surface dents or deformation caused by excessive thinness.

3. Fire Rating

Class A (Non-combustible): Rock wool core material is mandatory for high-rise residential buildings, public facilities, factories, and warehouses with strict fire safety requirements.

Class B1 (Flame-retardant): Flame-retardant polyurethane (PU) core material is suitable for low-to-mid-rise buildings, self-built homes, and guard booths; it offers superior thermal insulation and lighter weight.

4. Thermal Insulation Performance

Polyurethane (PU): Thermal conductivity ≤0.024 W/(m·K); suitable for severely cold or cold regions with high energy-efficiency requirements.

Rock Wool: Higher thermal conductivity but offers excellent fire resistance.

5. Core Material Thickness

Determine based on local building energy-efficiency standards. Common thicknesses include 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, and 50mm. 16mm is the standard specification, while 30mm or greater is recommended for cold northern regions.

FAQ

Q1: Will dust accumulate in the relief textures?

A1: The relief pattern depth is approximately 1.5 – 3mm. Normal rain wash can carry away surface dust. When installed horizontally, grooves may accumulate dust, therefore relief boards are always installed vertically on walls, using rainwater to create drainage channels.

Q2: Can curved or rounded corners be made?

A2: Curves with a radius greater than 3m can be achieved through cold bending. Small-radius arcs require custom curved molds. Corner finishing uses factory-pre-fabricated matching inner/outer corner pieces.

Q3: Is the installation method the same as ordinary color steel tiles?

A3: No. Color steel tiles are lap-jointed with exposed seams. Relief boards use tongue-and-groove interlocking installation, with seams hidden within the pattern for a more unified overall appearance.
